The Minister in the build-up to the International Commemoration of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, under the theme, “People first: Stop Stigma and Discrimination, Strengthen Prevention”, updated South Africans about progress and plans in the fight against substance abuse in the country. The event took place at the Khanyisa Recovery Centre in Randfontein. Many other speakers took stage in support of the strides the Department is taking in support of Substance User Treatment.
